A Time to Fight

I know we often scourge and ridicule people who fight in the Kingdom. It leaves us with a very confused bad taste in our mouths, we have no idea what to make of it mostly because we misunderstand who we are and more importantly who our Father is. He is the God of yesterday today and forever.

We often are familiar with His amazing "loving" side, yes, He is so loving not always in the way we understand though. Do we really understand what real love is? Real love is not just warm, kind, and graceful it is also righteous and justice. This is not the most popular preached side of our Father but no doubt if we're honest in our walks with Jesus we know by repentance and transformation from our sin His love is justice.

Love does not mean we always get what the world perceives as a "win". We don't always win by the standards of this world. Often what our Father defines as a win is way different than our viewpoints. We at times almost translate His wins as a loss.

In His love though He is jealous, righteous, and just. He is a just judge who loves all His children. In our lives not very often but at times when we are asked to fight and not just for ourselves but something greater than us it can get kind of awkward.

Rest assured we will be asked to fight for His justice for His glory. He is a mighty warrior and loves all His children and He is not happy when we are oppressed and hurt. He will fight for us, and I know He is mighty and wants to save our souls, even when we don’t realize we need saving or think we deserve it.

When the time to fight comes I rejoice not in evil that others may fall, but when evil is turned on its own head and His justice prevails! His justice will always prevail maybe not instantly, but in His divine time just like Haman and Mordecai.

This is an unspeakable joy. It is like the joy of water after being thirsty, or the joy of a blanket after being cold, the joy of an apple after hunger, the joy of the hug of a friend after war. This is a victors joy it is the greatest kiss and embrace after war and suffering. After all the sweat, blood, and tears love is somehow still left standing in the midst.

When we fight my prayer is that we brace ourselves in understanding and wisdom, not that we become a people as the world who rejoices at the misfortune of others. No, that we become a people who rejoice when sin and evil fall flat on its face. When evil and wickedness are overcome by Jesus Christ.

When we can take a breath and look around and realize we have already won the war. Even though we may be exhausted from the war and all the slain are piled up around us. May our eyes never fail to look up and praise His Holy name Hosanna, the LORD God of Israel reigns.

We are not to feel ashamed or guilty of victory, we can and will boast in the Lord until Jesus comes. The day when we get to finally go home and all these pointless things cease. What relief to be in His arms for eternity. A warrior's bread is that moment.

We are all warriors in Christ Jesus, and we were made for war and fighting. We were made to live on faith and walk in the Spirit every moment of our lives. It is no easy task, and this hunger and thirst only comes from the Holy Spirit.

What compels a man or woman to face death and not tremble? What drives a man or woman to sacrifice their life for another? Jesus Christ and His love through the Holy Spirit we are all made for this. From glory to glory. We are all made to fight when the trumpet sounds may we have our swords, shields and armor on. May we be ready fearless and tear down hell. May we forget the things of this world and our flesh.

I love You Lord Jesus, we need You and may we never forget that yes, we are children of light and love, but we are also citizens of Heaven. We are the children of the most High God, we are Your mighty warriors of valor.

We can rest assured knowing everything we need is found in You Lord You are our Strength our fortress our Rock and exceedingly great reward.

I bless you my King
