The Goodness of God

The Goodness of God

The goodness of God. Trust me I know that there have been many times in my life that I have experienced the valleys and mountains of repentance. I thought to myself however as much as this is not always my favorite thing by that I mean my flesh and by that, I mean carnal nature. That repentance is a gift from God. Take a deep breath, I know right thinking about it and feeling it doesn't always feel that way.

As I have been walking through my own season in life and really having to not only face myself but repentance, I have been reminded of its goodness and that it is a gift from God. Repentance is a normal part of life and not only that it is a remarkable gift.

Particular though now I have the need to only repent but to understand that this is one of many expressions of God's goodness. Now I am not saying we should live our lives in condemnation or shame. What I am saying though it is coming to a revelation and understanding that we are imperfect! Shocking right? Not so much. We ALL are sinners, some of us are just more aware of it than others.

Roman's 2:4

4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and long suffering not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance.

You know that saying "new levels of new devils" well this is really true but even more so is the Word of God and His goodness. That no matter what season or seasons you are going through that this is a great gift. It is not always easy, but it is a way we must remember it in whatever we are overcoming. I could go on a long conversation about the word repentance, but what is important is that not only do I or try to teach myself but you as well so that we have access to His goodness. That every day every moment is a good time to repent in sincerity knowing God knows the motives of our heart. Not only does He know but meets in that place and position of our heart.

Be blessed and may this even bring some joy to our lives. Perhaps even some humor.
