The Hot Battery

It's 2022 and I looked back today. I saw a picture of a woman I once knew. It was not that long ago. It seemed like a trivial

thing when it was taken, but when I took another look, it represents something much more profound in my life. I was less serious then; the world was much different. As was I. I love Your name Jesus.

When I looked it represented a promise, so special in Your heart. The power of Your word. How You don't mess around. The beauty that comes from the Lilly in the valley. It is not just words I heard someone regurgitate. It is more precious than precious stones of all sorts. How it breaks through its environment with such strength and is unmistakable. I am here.

Feeling the realness but knowing You are much more. There is so much more. Just when I think it is capped out it really is just the beginning more significant. I looked at my reflection and I saw Your beauty; it was a different kind of light. This beauty becoming more rare by the minute, but not less pure or powerful. Unmistakably we couldn't miss it even if we wanted to. A time such as this.

I lean closer into You even though it can feel like it's not enough. I am reminded that in my weakness Your strength is made perfect. That when I cannot You can. Like the fiery red horse who took his fierce feet as fast as he could, and You came rushing in at the lock. Something came out that was surprising. He ate up the ground like no one had ever seen. I thank you for believing in me. That You are unraveling spinning the most beautiful Lilly. The great mystery of it all.

I am older and I am growing up every day. I love Your word and it is written in my heart. It comes out in ways I don't expect these winters. Life is not ordinary, but You never said it was going to be. I am still the clumsy one of us two, You are pure perfection.

Thank you that you bring us to places at the right time. To remind us of what You have done for us through us with us. That though I make mistakes You never do.
