The Remedy

Romans 6: 23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Remedy

The questions the uncomfortable procures. Remedies are important, how do we discover them? How do we find them? Where do they come from? These are worthy questions. All noble questions.

Remedies are problems. To need a remedy requires us to know we have a problem.

A remedy is healing in word and action. One, because a problem has been analyzed. Two, now one seeks healing for the problem. This is usually the hardest part. To know without a shadow of a doubt truth creates remedy. So, my question to myself and to the LORD is help me to be a lover of truth.

We don't always love truth because it is not always sweet, at first. However, it is sweet to one's soul and wisdom is its companion.

The truth is we're learning forever. To be a student of truth to love it. Spirit and Truth. Holy Spirit You're the best teacher. We don't always know what we need. We often know what we want but not what we need. This is our fallen human condition and problem. We are not naturally dispositioned to love truth for a long list of reasons we could study.

Nevertheless, truth is easy because it never changes. It is a rock. I don't have to think hard about truth because it is true. It never changes. When it never changes we're almost shocked because it is simple. It is nothing more or less.

That is a remedy. Because everything good comes out of the truth. We tend to shy away from it because it is a mirror. Truth doesn't need a doctor. Truth is a doctor, a great physician. Since I am no longer a slave to sin or anything else for that matter. Truth is my companion, my comfort, my pain, my love, my joy, my everything.

The truth about our own condition, and that condition is a crucial part of how we see the rest of the world. Remedies. What are our conditions? I know that I need Jesus every moment of my life. It is not optional, it is life, oxygen. There is no separation. It's not hard because that is simply who I am. Not a part the whole thing. All of me. The amazing part; it does not come out in the pallet of old tradition or on a canvas as expected. Actually, it is pretty delightful.

Are we uncomfortable because we are not nourished with truth? Do our hearts tell us there is more? Why is that? Because the truth cannot be ignored even if we try. It churns in the core of everything. It churns in our souls. No matter how many lies try to taint the truth, they are no match. So let what is true even if it is not accepted, let it be known.
