The Words of a Prophet

The Words of a Prophet

Jeremiah yes Jeremiah. The words of a prophet. The truth of the Lord. The uprooted, destroyed, pulled down, throw down, and to plant. The ways of our Father. We don't like to know it or appreciate these parts. I suppose there is a certain fear of the Lord. Whatever we toss, turn and quarrel about, we inquire to really know the words of the Lord. The words of the Lord that are like fire and the people are like wood. How He is truly a loving Father. He is loving all the time; it just seems we appreciate and understand the love with selective lenses at times. Sure, He is furious sometimes and in that I know He is just. My question is simple and sweet. When is the last time we have mourned before the Lord in lamentation for our own sins? When have we had a serious look into ourselves and our sin the way the Lord does? Not in condemnation but knowing without Him we are a ash heap of ruin. We are ruined, helpless, fragile, with no hope, and nothing. That without Him there is no truth for life.

Realizing that He said come to Me, return to Me.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28 nkjv
