Unacceptable & Delectable

I believe that “Life events" that are deemed by our flesh and circumstances as unacceptable are actually blessings. As a child of God to be accepted by Christ Jesus is to be rejected by man and the world. I find some comfort now knowing that I am not accepted by everyone and everywhere I go, that is exactly how my Lord Jesus lived His life and ministry.

As much as Jesus was rejected and to no surprise of His (nor should it be to us when we are) did that in any way diminish His divine purpose I would say it made His life here on earth all the more powerful.

We underestimate the cost of being His disciple and being used for His glory. We covet what we perceive with our natural eyes and what we see mostly looks nothing like the gospel of Jesus Christ. We later only assume that the world and the things in it, this must be what He meant when He said "seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you."

I am convinced this carnal disposition is not anything close to the truth and what we see only with our natural eyes. Nothing of the Kingdom of Heaven operates as we see here on the earth. Which is why we cannot live for the world and Christ it is impossible.

These two are opposing sides of a spectrum and are incomparable on all levels, one is from an eternal everlasting position and the other from a fallen dying perspective. To compare Christ Jesus to the earth, the world we live in, and all the things in it is just silly. We cannot compare the creator of all things to His created things! This is just ridiculous, yet we do this all the time.

Much beauty in life is found in the no’s of this world and the yes from our heavenly Father. I hope we can find it in ourselves to appreciate the rejection from this world no matter how counter intuitive it may feel to our flesh and understanding. We as followers of Christ Jesus are to rejoice in these moments and experiences, as our treasures are not stored up here but stored up in heaven.

I want us all to have the strength and courage to stand and be deliciously satisfyingly unacceptable to the world. How awesome is that!

The desire of my heart is that others do not see “us” but they see only the light burning deep within us that they see Jesus. Even if they are not quite aware of or how to describe it. I cannot say it enough we are to be rays of distinguishing life that counter darkness. This distinguishing does not come from striving or perfection, saying the right words, being great charismatic speakers, knowing the right people, the polishing of the external. It is not of this world, which is why it distinguishes and speaks for itself, it is the blessed Holy Spirit.

May we become ok with not being ok, and ok of not being accepted by this world and all the things that are not for us. It is ok to be ok with that.
