We Can Breathe Now
When is the last time we allowed ourselves to breathe? I realize we are all doing this mostly in our own ignorance our whole entire lives. Seriously though, when is the last time we allowed ourselves to breathe? I mean to really appreciate breathing for the miracle that it is, the miracle of life and that every single breath we are breathing belongs to our heavenly Father.
How amazing to know that we are living off and sharing His breath right now and every single moment we have been on this earth.
Why is it as children of God do we believe ourselves to be independent and self made ? We think we rely on Him but in honesty we often are relying on self and ourselves. Relying on Him means well exactly that in raw terms, why is this so foreign to most who call on the name of Jesus? The funny thing is that we almost mock at others who do rely on Jesus. We mock inwardly, outwardly and in all the creative ways human beings can come up with. We go to great lengths that will allow us to secretly and openly smite others along with the things we do not understand. Why is that?
If we really believe and understand faith and life in Jesus Christ why is relying on Him so uncomfortable for us? We know we are to abide in Jesus, or at least we proclaim we know this. We are to live by faith and by the leading of Holy Spirit.
We have the war of keeping ourselves unstained from this world, yet also to faithfully walk in it but not never allowing ourselves to be moved by it. Where is the line though? Do we even know? Do we know when we have gone too far off His narrow gate path for us? When do we finally admit it? When will we open our eyes and see that often we cut our own path alone.
I certainly want to be in the place of always knowing that just like a child I am in constant need of Jesus, repentance and relying on Him. To think I can do a single thing without Him is exactly like a piece of wood boasting of its power, when the truth is the power of the wood is in the hands of Him who made it.
Let us do this together. Maybe just maybe we can all breathe now and drop all the acting and admit just like everyone and everything else we too need to rely on Jesus for everything! We are nothing outside of Him we do not even own our breath. We were not created to be independent at all, yet we live in a world that does not shut up about it.
My prayer and hope is that we all including myself come into a deeper revelation of this by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can take a breath and become aware that the breath we just took doesn’t belong to us.
May we always be thankful and may that thanksgiving create the most beautiful fragrant love.
I bless you my family wherever you may be.
I bless You My King
Jesus Christ Forevermore
